What happens to them?  A question we are often asked.

Kismet has been in the care of the Birman Rescue in the Swindon safe house, since November 2007.  He was found in a dreadful state, thin and emaciated, his coat was matted, he had ear mites and fleas.  It took Pat Williams his carer, weeks to bring his delicate tummy under control.  Kismet was very depressed.

This picture after a month with us. Kismet's coat was so matted, Pat asked local professional animal groomer Louise Graham to work on his coat.
This is how he looked after the first  bath and grooming session.

Kismet enjoying the sun during late January 2008. The light is back in his eyes, his fur is starting to grow.

Someone called Judy is coming to see him.....

Kismet gets ready to go to his new home, once more Louise carries out a pedicure. (Kismet loves it and holds out his paw happily, loving the gentle attention)

more about Kismet in the club magazine!

Time to say goodbye.  Kismet has won the hearts of many local people, who regularly came to visit. The kind lady who found him regularly brought his special prescription diet as a donation to the Birman Rescue, for which we are grateful.

Louise Graham refused all expenses when she learned Kismet's sad story, and as you can see they have become firm friends.
