The club would like to be represented with a stand and cats. More information from Angela Walker lachmere@aol.com. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The
Birman Cat Club Raffle
The draw for the Birman Cat Club Raffle was held on November 5th
in Rugby at the 28th Birman Show.
Sally Tokens one of our senior judges pulled out the winning tickets
assisted by John Culf. a former committee member.
The first prize of £200 was won by Mr S Murton., and a cheque
for £200 is already on its way to him.
The second prize of £50 was won by Ross Johnson. Rosss
parents were exhibiting at the show and were able to accept the
cheque from Treasurer Jim Warrender on his behalf.
I would like to thank all those who sold or bought raffle tickets,
especially Janet Francis, Angela Walker and Ron Mylnek, who must
have lots of generous friends.
Another group who I would like to thank are those who not only bought
tickets but sent in donations. Your generosity is really appreciated.
To date I have banked almost £900, and still have a small
amount of cash to collect, a wonderful result.
On behalf of the Birman Cat Club, thank you all again

EXCITING
NEWS FOR PET OWNERS
Following on from the success
of the Club's proposal to GCCF Council to extend the Olympian
Certificates to Household Pets, it has been agreed by the
Birman CC Committee to acknowledge the Pet Birmans and Non
Birman Pet cats owned by our members, by creating a Show News
section in the Birman Magazine and also on this website for
news of achievements in the Pet classes at shows.
There will also be trophies on offer for members' pet cats
in the same way as the pedigree cats.

Personalised Rosettes
Members are still able
to claim for a personalised rosette when their Birman achieves a
new title.
At the 2011 AGM it was
agreed that members should pay £5 towards the cost of each
rosette claimed.
When sending in your
claim, please make it clear which title you are claiming for, give
the full name and title of your cat as you want it to appear on
the rosette tail, enclose a cheque for £5 payable to the Birman
Cat Club, and 6 first class stamps if you want your rosette to be
posted.
Good luck everyone!
